Sikorsky Extends Order for CMC Avionics for Black Hawks

Esterline CMC Electronics secured a follow-on order from Sikorsky for flight management systems in Black Hawk helicopters. The deal extends an earlier purchase order for CMC’s CMA-2082MC FMS and CMA-2088 emergency control panel, flown aboard U.S. Army Black Hawks and the S-70i, the international version of the helicopter. The CMA-2082MC includes radio tuning with internal navigation and communication frequency database as well as mission and display software. Two are installed in each helicopter along with one emergency control panel. CMC did not disclose the potential value of the order.
