Kratos Defense & Security Solutions is showcasing its newest technologies at the Paris Air Show including its mixed reality (MR) platform, which integrates technology advancements in gaming and simulation to achieve a fully immersive warfighter training solution.
While virtual reality creates an entirely simulated experience, MR merges real and virtual worlds to produce new environments where physical and digital objects can coexist and interact in real time. At the Kratos stand (Hall 3, Stand A132), the floor and walls are green, signifying synthetic surroundings, while the hardware used in the scenario and the “fighter’s” body remain realistic throughout.
The software behind the MR technology was built by TitanIM and integrated by Kratos.
To ensure that warfighters are ready for battle and changing battlefield dynamics, MR creates a blended training system that provides the means to train in complex, multi-domain environments while reducing costs, speeding development, and delivering high-fidelity performance.
