The UAE's Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL), a regional provider of integrated aircraft solutions for military and civilian customers, has signed a contract with Chinese state-backed defense contractor China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC) to set up a bonded warehouse in Abu Dhabi, GAL (Chalet A38) announced at the Dubai Airshow.

"The facility will significantly improve the availability of aircraft spare parts in the UAE and MENA region," GAL said. "This agreement formalizes the memorandum of understanding signed by the two companies during the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to China in July this year."
