ST Engineering’s Defence Aerospace business has signed a memorandum of understanding with Honeywell to explore opportunities for collaboration in the defense aviation sector throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Leveraging Honeywell’s advanced aerospace technologies and ST Engineering’s expertise in maintenance, repair, and overhaul, and defense aviation technologies, the initiative will assess various opportunities. One result could be the establishment of a maintenance center of excellence for Honeywell’s avionics systems, with retrofit and upgrade capability.
“Working with Honeywell underscores our focus on strengthening regional defense aviation capabilities through advanced engineering and sustainment solutions,” said Daniel Ho, senior vice president and head of strategic planning for ST Engineering's Defence Aerospace business unit.
“As defense modernization needs across Asia Pacific continue to evolve, this MOU reflects Honeywell’s strategic intent to expand support with trusted regional industry leaders,” said Sathesh Ramiah, Honeywell's v-p of defense and space in Asia Pacific. “By aligning Honeywell’s advanced aerospace technologies with ST Engineering’s strong local capabilities, we are exploring ways to support long-term mission readiness, resilience, and sustainment for defense operators in the region.”
