Brazilian President Witnesses eVTOL Flight Demonstration

Eve Air Mobility is progressing with the flight test campaign of its full-scale engineering prototype, with its 35^th flight witnessed by Brazilian government officials including the country's President Luiz Inácio da Silva. The flight was conducted on March 25 from Eve’s test facility at Gavião Peixoto in São Paulo state.

Among the attendees were Brazil's minister of science, technology and innovation, the minister of ports and airports; the president of the National Civil Agency of Brazil; and the president of Brazil’s National Development Bank. The bank has previously supported Eve with loan guarantees.

Since its inaugural flight in December 2025, Eve’s eVTOL has completed 35 flights and accumulated nearly one and a half hours of total flight time. Testing to date has focused on low-speed operations up to 15 kts, “enabling validation of control laws, rotor aerodynamic efficiency, thermal behavior and the propulsion model,” explained Eve.

Now the Embraer spin-off will progressively expand the flight envelope and testing at higher speeds. “We are advancing with discipline and consistency” commented Eve CEO Johann Bordais. “The results achieved in these first months following our initial flight… reinforce our confidence in the aircraft’s architecture and our ability to deliver a safe, efficient and scalable solution.”

President da Silva and other delegates also witnessed the rollout of Brazil’s first domestically-produced supersonic fighter jet, the Saab Gripen E (F-39E in Brazilian service), from Embraer’s adjacent industrial site in Gavião Peixoto.
