A Piper Malibu Mirage was involved in a landing accident yesterday morning at 7:45 a.m. at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wis. The airplane, N4BP, carried five people who were headed to EAA AirVenture 2015, held this week at the airport. Four of those aboard exited the airplane by themselves and a fifth was assisted by the Oshkosh Fire Department and transported by helicopter to the hospital, according to the Experimental Aircraft Association.

In a photo published on Twitter, the Malibu's forward fuselage and wings appear to have been destroyed by fire. "The aircraft was piloted by 46-year-old Kenneth J. Kaminski of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Also aboard the airplane were three other Michigan residents: Gerald T. Kaminski, 71; Margaret C. Laing, 30; Nathan P. Gargano, 26; and Neil F. Dill, 56," the EAA said.
