Genesys Aerosystems (Booth 8606) was selected to provide its new-generation integrated display units (IDUs) as standard equipment for the MD Helicopters MD530G scout helicopter. Genesys said its IDUs are tested to military standards to perform in high-stress environments, including extreme temperature variations and vibration levels, but have an open architecture design that can be easily and economically upgraded. The displays aboard the 530G feature six-inch by eight-inch high-resolution LCD displays, automatic or manual reversion modes, 3-D synthetic vision, highway-in-the-sky navigation, geo-referenced hover vector, helicopter terrain awareness and warning system (H-TAWS), night vision A&B capabilities, weather radar integration, integrated ADS-B traffic displays, engine instrument crew advisory system (EICAS) and data acquisition units for custom engine monitoring.
