StandardAero recently signed a one-year agreement to support Beijing-based Reignwood Star General Aviation Company Limited’s fleet of Rolls-Royce M250 and RR300 engines. The MRO will provide repair and overhaul services for the engines, which power Reignwood’s Bell407GX, 206L4, and 206B3, and Robinson R66 helicopters.
Maintenance services for Reignwood’s engines will be completed at StandardAero’s Rolls-Royce M250 authorized maintenance center in Singapore. The company will also provide Reignwood with technical engine training to increase its customer support capabilities in China.
“We are proud to have reached an agreement with StandardAero,” said Zhong Zhiyong, deputy general manager for Reignwood Star General Aviation. “We hope that both parties will continue to expand the scope of our cooperation in the future for mutual benefit, and provide maintenance support, personnel training, and new technology for our customers.”
Reignwood, which is based at Miyun Airport, operates in the general aviation sector in China. The company offers services including flight training, commercial charter flights, aerial photography, and hangars.
StandardAero hopes this partnership with the company will increase its presence in Asia. “We are very pleased to have finalized this agreement with Reignwood Star Aviation and look forward to providing world-class engine support to their fleet,” said Manny Atwal, v-p of sales, marketing, and business development for StandardAero’s commercial helicopter services division. “We see a great deal of growth in the aviation industry in Asia, with China playing a key role in that development, so partnerships such as this will help to expand our reach and our ability to provide even greater service to operators in the region as this upward trajectory continues.”
