For those who wish to operate their hangar functions remotely, the makers of HangarBot have a solution. The company, Lynk Remote Technologies, is exhibiting its system at EAA’s AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin July 23-29.
The HangarBot system consists of a cellular-enabled hub; networked electrical outlet accessories; and an iOS mobile application, which will allow users to activate functions such as unlocking/opening the hangar door, turning on lights, heating systems, fans or dehumidifiers, and remotely controlling engine heating systems.
Under development since 2014, the HangarBot system employs motion detection and video camera surveillance, internally stores up to 20 days of video, can stream surveillance video through the app, and provides notifications on the arrival of aircraft, door openings, or even the triggering of motion alarms directly to the user’s smartphone.
In Oshkosh, the Los Angeles-based company is offering live demonstrations of the system (Hangar D, Booth 4087).
