Costa do Sol Opts for SkyTrac Flight Data Monitoring

Rio de Janeiro-based Costa do Sol Táxi Aéreo recently selected SkyTrac flight data monitoring (FDM) for its Sikorsky S-76 fleet. The company, which serves Brazil’s offshore and onshore oil-and-gas industry, will also use SkyTrac’s real-time exceedance alerts.

By notifying key contacts of critical in-flight incidents, the SkyTrac system helps operators improve safety and maintenance event response times. Identifying maintenance events in a timely manner helps operators prepare for aircraft arrival and reduce AOG times, SkyTrac said.

Ground crews will receive in-flight safety alerts, and they can start emergency procedures as soon as an issue is identified. Additionally, those who use SkyTrac’s FDM can access a post-flight data analysis, as well as automated in-flight and post-flight FDM file downloads.
