Content Body

Grady Dees, Univeral Avionics director of technical sales, is demonstrating the in-development Heli-ClearVision enhanced helicopter vision systems at Booth C4028 at Heli-Expo. The two versions are SkyLens, a wearable head-up display (HUD), which looks like safety glasses with a rectangular box on top, and the SkyVis helmet-mounted HUD. Both integrate Universal’s InSight avionics suite with parent company Elbit Systems’ SkyLens HUD. They are capable of showing primary flight display symbology, conformal information, synthetic vision, enhanced vision via input from an EVS-4000 multispectral camera, and combined vision.
