Helicopter lessor LCI has acquired Nova Capital Aviation (Ireland) Limited, a division of the Nova Capital Group. The acquisition expands LCI’s leasing platform to more than 140 twin-engine rotary and fixed-wing aircraft and boosts its proportion of portfolio aircraft deployed in emergency medical services (EMS), search and rescue (SAR), off-shore wind and utility missions, to over 80 percent.

"The Nova brand is highly regarded and is a major presence in the mission-critical EMS market, which perfectly complements our own. Our agreement reflects the current trend towards industry consolidation and is a testament to the robust leasing platform we have built. It expands our customer base, introduces new aircraft types to our fleet, and cements LCI’s long-term commitment to growth,” said Crispin Maunder, LCI executive chairman.

Nova Capital Aviation Limited represents the twin-engine rotary and fixed-wing aircraft lease division of the Nova Capital Group and leases twin-engine helicopters to the EMS market. Last year, Nova Capital expanded its fleet with eight new twin-engine EMS helicopters valued at more than $90 million, bringing its total fleet value to more than $500 million.

Under this deal with LCI, the Nova Capital Group will now focus on the development of its portfolio of single-engine helicopter and light utility fixed-wing aircraft, and advanced air mobility, in partnership with LCI. Founded in 2002, Nova Capital is a privately-owned aviation investment company, with offices in Ireland, France, and Portugal. It primarily provides asset financing to helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft operators for on-shore critical mission services.
