Air Plains Services, a Wellington, Kansas-based general aviation engine and avionics upgrades service provider, is exhibiting its expanded product offerings for the first time at the Sun 'n Fun Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida. The company, which is also celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, will showcase one of its most extensive refurbishments, a Cessna 182XP that features a 300hp engine upgrade.
The 1976 Cessna 182Q upgrade project was a complete tip-to-tail refurbishment that also included Flint Aero tip tanks with new LED lighting, Garmin G500 TXi touchscreen display, GTN 750 and 650 GPS navigators, JPI EDM930 engine display, Stormscope WX-500 lightning display, new interior and headliner, new windscreen and custom paint.
