The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) announced that it will continue its relationship with The Boeing Company, extending Boeing's Platinum-Level sponsorship for three more years and building on a partnership that began in 1989.
Boeing’s sponsorship of EAA AirVenture will allow it to continue to support WomenVenture and KidVenture, programs that support women pilots and give those who are 18 or younger free access to AirVenture events in order to foster a passion in flight amongst aspiring members of the aviation community.
“Boeing’s involvement with EAA and AirVenture means more people can engage with aviation at Oshkosh,” said EAA chairman and CEO Jack Pelton.
In addition to the partnership helping showcase aviation to a wider audience, Boeing’s large presence as an aircraft manufacturer allows it to help attract and bring many different airplanes to AirVenture for showcasing at the central Boeing Plaza, including many Boeing aircraft.
“AirVenture is not just a general aviation event," said Brad Surak, v-p of Boeing Global Services’ Digital Aviation Solutions. "The commercial, business, and military representation is massive, which makes it a perfect venue to showcase our diverse collection of Boeing products and services. EAA is an organization with impressive global reach, and our collaboration is important on many levels. AirVenture is a platform that allows us to do many things—from assessing market interest of new products to inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals.”
