Content Body

In recognition of the important role that flight instructors play in training new pilots, Lightspeed Aviation has joined with the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) to offer members discounts on aviation headsets. The discount for NAFI members is $200 off the Lightspeed Delta Zulu and $100 off the Zulu 3. These headsets retail for $1,199 and $899.

Both the Delta Zulu and Zulu 3 are active noise-canceling headsets, but the former includes new noise-canceling technology, the Hearing Equity audio equalization system customizable to the wearer, and Lightspeed’s first safety wearable feature, the Kanari “smart alerts” carbon monoxide sensor. The sensor is especially useful for instructors flying in different aircraft, many of which still are not equipped with carbon monoxide detectors.

“To CFIs around the world, we say, 'If you don’t own the aircraft, own your own safety,’” said Allan Schrader, CEO and founder of Lightspeed Aviation. “We share the same values with CFIs when it comes to safety in flying. And using the proper tools in their instruction should be the foremost requirement. So, we want to make it even easier for them to access these tools with our new NAFI membership benefit program.”
