Content Body

In addition to the recent unveiling of integrated IFR GPS navigation capability in its SkyView HDX cockpit displays, Dynon has revealed the next addition to this product line: a remote-mounted audio panel.

The SV-AUDIO-6BTR, a two- to six-place intercom and audio panel, is available for integration in experimental and light sport aircraft equipped with SkyView HDX and Advanced avionics. Installing the audio panel remotely and controlling it via the SkyView or Advanced touchscreen display saves panel space and enables more flexible control of remote-mounted components.

Capable of controlling two com and two nav radios and additional switched and un-switched inputs for other avionics, the $2,295 6BTR includes Trig digital noise reduction using PS Engineering IntelliVox microphone threshold adjustment. Other features include IntelliAudio True Dimensional Sound spatial audio; Trig Active Mute to reduce background noise due to radio static; Bluetooth connectivity; and two stereo audio inputs.

Dynon also introduced a standalone HDX engine monitor for experimental and light sport aircraft. Priced at $4,909 for Rotax iS engines or $5,771 for four-cylinder Continental and Lycoming engines, the display measures seven inches and can later be expanded to a complete SkyView HDX system.
