The United Arab Emirates is going to upgrade its Mirage 2000-9 fighters following the signing of a $490 million contract with Dassault Aviation at the Dubai Airshow. The UAE Air Force has released very few details of what the upgrades will include. However, earlier reports suggest it could include fitting a new RDY-3 radar and Talios advanced targeting pod provided by Thales. At the same time, The UAE awarded a contract for Thales to provide maintenance and spares for the Mirage 2000s. and MBDA France won a deal to provide more weapons for the combat aircraft, and this will likely include Black Shaheen and Mica missiles. The Mirage was one of the stars of the Dubai Airshow flying display.
