Jordan Belfort’s life was so outrageous and unhinged that even his Wolf of Wall Street publisher Bantam Books (a subsidiary of Random House) toned it down. Martin Scorsese (Raging Bull, Killers of the Flower Moon, etc.), the streetwise auteur not known to pull his cinematic punches, directed the blockbuster movie version, which Belfort says was “under-exaggerated.” Tell that to Leonardo DiCaprio, who portrayed Belfort engaging in some of the most excessive behavior ever committed to celluloid. Now Belfort has a rollicking yet practical new book out: The Wolf of Investing is filled with bracing financial advice and the Wolf’s signature profanity. Business Jet Traveler caught up with Belfort at his waterfront home in Miami Beach.
