Description

Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) is implementing Global Navigation Satellite Systems equipment changes for both Australian- and non-Australian-registered aircraft. These changes include the requirement that after May 26, 2016, all flights operating under IFR must be conducted with GNSS avionics enabling compliance with RNP 1 terminal area and RNP 2 continental en route operations. To assist operators of foreign-registered aircraft operators in meeting the new requirements, a two-year exemption is available by completing an online form before the first flight on or after May 26.
