Description
Nav Canada, in collaboration with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, has launched a public consultation period as the next step in a proposal to introduce airspace enhancements around Toronto Pearson International Airport. The proposed changes will introduce required navigation performance (RNP) requirements for two runway ends at Toronto Pearson, Canada’s busiest airport. If enacted, RNP provides for the opportunity to design shorter, more direct routes, enabling aircraft to turn towards the airport sooner. The new standard also supports “safe and efficient integration of traffic in a busy parallel runway environment.” Public consultation will run until Dec. 17, 2021.
