An EASA notice of proposed amendment aims to revise some of the existing—and introduce new—acceptable means of compliance with the rules and procedures for the operation of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). New proposals include defining the procedure to be applied by UAS operators and the national authorities for cross-border operations and introducing a syllabus for training modules for remote pilots that operate in the “specific” category. Comments on the proposed amendments are due Sept. 15, 2021.
