Description
The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is accepting comments until Jan. 19, 2022 on proposed amendments to cost-sharing flight rules. The new amendments are seen as a step towards addressing illegal charter issues relating to cost-sharing flights by making it more difficult for them to be used as a cover for illegal commercial air transportation. Cost-sharing relates to direct-cost expenses—fuel, airfield charges, or aircraft rental fees—that can legitimately be distributed between the pilot and others onboard the aircraft.
