Description
The FAA is inviting comments on a planned update to AC 150/5020-1. This advisory circular provides airport sponsors with guidance on how to conduct an airport noise and land-use compatibility study under FAR Part 150. The regulation provides a structured process to evaluate the compatibility of property surrounding airports with aircraft noise and to develop mitigation measures. Participants in the Part 150 process may be eligible to apply for airport improvement funding to mitigate noise impacts. Comments are due by February 25, 2022.
