Description
Comments are due November 20 on the draft of the FAA’s environmental assessment for a proposed new satellite-based approach procedure for Runway 4L at Boston Logan International Airport. The draft assessment indicates that the procedure would have no significant impact in any environmental category including aviation noise. During IMC, flights will be able to land on Runway 4L, helping to reduce delays that result in late-night arrivals. Currently, aircraft can land on the runway only in VMC. The FAA will hold virtual public workshops on October 23 and 28 to brief residents and answer their questions on the environmental assessment and the proposed procedure.
