Description

Drone pilots who are unable to comply with the remote ID broadcast requirementhave until March 16, 2024, to equip their aircraft, a six-month delay from the original Sept. 16, 2023 date. After March 16, 2024, operators flying unmanned aircraft without remote ID could face fines and suspension or revocation of pilot certificates. In making this decision, the FAA said it “recognizes the unanticipated issues that some operators are experiencing finding remote identification broadcast modules.”
