Global Sky Media’s latest Advanced Air Mobility Report takes a close look at the emerging sector in the Asia-Pacific region. In particular, the Hong Kong-based company has focused on activity in China, where it estimates that at least $720 million has already been invested by eVTOL aircraft developers that are enjoying support from the country’s civil aviation regulator.

The report covers 19 eVTOL aircraft manufacturers that are either based in the Asia-Pacific region or were founded in that part of the world. Of the companies profiled, four were formed by automotive manufacturers and three by companies already established in aviation.

The Global Sky team concluded that more than half the players in the Asia-Pacific region have headquarters in China. Japan and South Korea are other advanced air mobility hot spots, and companies are also based in Australia and Indonesia.
