Supersede a previous AD (2020-04-01) that requires inspection and replacement of the cockpit side windows with modified side windows that have a new part number with a new time limit. The D stemmed from occurrences of cracks, delamination, and failure of the cockpit side windows during the certification fatigue tests. The presence of delamination or any other damage may impair the detection of existing cracks. The cracks may cause the cockpit side windows failure leading to an in-flight depressurization event. Since that was issued, it was discovered that the required replacements did not have the expected effect on the fleet, and more occurrences of premature cracks were found. This AD continues inspections and replacement with a new part number within specified time limits.
